Bryant Selebangue – Arizona State
Following two season’s at the JUCO level, a year at Tulsa averaging 12.0 PPG and 9.2 RPG before most recently coming off the bench at Arizona State, Selebangue makes his return to the mid-major ranks with McNeese State.
At 6-foot-9, Selebangue is primarily known for his rebounding but evidently showed in his lone season at Tulsa that he can be an effective scorer as well shooting 62% from the floor during the 2022/23 campaign.Â
While he’s not much of a three-point shooter and his defensive metrics don’t necessarily stand out, Selebangue’s been a solid contributor at both of his previous D1 stops and brings the Cowboys some additional high-level experience.
Brandon Murray – Ole Miss
Despite struggles at Ole Miss this past season, Murray’s talent is evident having averaged 10.0 PPG as a freshman at LSU before moving onto Georgetown where he was the team’s second-leading scorer. While that means he’s played for three different programs in just three season’s, the former top-100 prospect will easily be a Southland Player of the Year candidate based on his on the court abilities.
With Murray’s commitment to McNeese State marking a reunion with Wade who recruited the Baltimore, MD native to LSU back in 2021, it’s fair to expect he’ll be tasked with leading the offensive effort alongside Parker and our next transfer. Although he undoubtedly has some defects, the 6-foot-5 guard/wing provides tons of positional versatility and will prove instrumental to the Cowboys game plan as a veteran senior.
