Zvonimir Ivisic – Kentucky
Despite being listed at 7-foot-2 and 234 lbs, our first of three Kentucky transfers following Calipari down to Arkansas played in limited minutes for the Wildcats last season making just 15 appearances as a freshman.
Averaging 5.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG and 1.3 BKPG while shooting 58% from the floor and 38% from three however, it’s clear Ivisic has a ton of potential and with multiple years of eligibility moving to a program like Arkansas should aid in that development.
Certainly don’t expect the Vodice, Croatia native to be a starting feature at the five as that title is likely reserved for Aidoo, but Ivisic is familiar with Calipari’s work and will be an additional stretch piece off the bench next year.
Johnell Davis – FAU
With the departure of former FAU head coach Dusty May for Michigan, an entry into the transfer portal from the 2023/24 Co-AAC Player of the Year was inevitable.Â
However, after four seasons with the Owls, Davis is undoubtedly ready for the challenge of playing in the SEC where he’ll look to continue his outrageous scoring prowess.Â
A vastly experienced three-level threat, Davis averaged career-highs of 18.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG and 2.9 APG all while shooting 48% from the field and 41% from deep this past season.
Despite pacing FAU’s offensive attack under May, Davis has also proven himself a worthy contributor on the defensive end averaging 1.4 STLPG which was top-12 in-conference and second for the program.
As the primary veteran guard on this roster heading into next season, Davis will be an instrumental part of Calipari’s backcourt rotation and is expected to provide that same three-level scoring ability in droves for Arkansas.
