6.) Paul McMillan IV – Canisius

Between stints at NJIT and Central Michigan, McMillan is finally finding his footing with Canisius and averaging a career-high of 19.6 PPG while tied for 21st nationally in scoring. While the Griffins are yet to pick up a win this season at 0-13, McMillan has evidently been one of the programs bright spots with 31 points against St. Bonaventure and 26 points at Bradley before the holiday break.

5.) Chaz Lanier – Tennessee

Tied with McMillan at 21st is the North Florida transfer in Lanier who conversely has helped Tennessee to a 13-0 record and a No. 1 national ranking by averaging 19.6 PPG while shooting 46% from three. With SEC play on the horizon, Lanier has been playing some of his best basketball highlighted by back-to-back 20+ point performances heading into the Vols matchup with No. 23 Arkansas.
