2.) Primo Spears – UTSA
After stints at Duquesne, Georgetown and Florida State, Spears landed with UTSA as a senior where’s he’s only continued to showcase his scoring prowess averaging a career-high 22.3 PPG. After leading a win over Merrimack earlier this season with 29 points, five rebounds and three assists, Spears topped it days later with 31 points and five assists to beat out Houston Christian.
1.) Jaron Pierre Jr. – Jacksonville State
Having redshirted the 2023-24 season at Wichita State, Pierre transferred to Jacksonville State this past offseason where he’s emerged as a premier all-around threat averaging 23.2 PPG. As the third leading scorer in the nation, Pierre has led the Gamecocks to an 8-5 record with 31 points over Coastal Carolina, 30 points and 10 boards over Columbia International (NAIA) and 27 points over Georgia State.
