Ranking the Top Big 12 Transfer Performances of the Week

Throughout this past weekend in college football, transfers from all over the country shined for their new teams.

That includes plenty of Big 12 stars who transferred in prior to this season. Let’s take a look at the best performers from the Big 12 this past week who joined the conference via the transfer portal.

DONOVAN SMITH – HOUSTON

The former Texas Tech QB completed 72% of his passes on Saturday for 335 passing yards and four touchdowns through the air. Smith also posted a solid 59 yards on the ground. Despite Smith’s huge game, he and the Cougars suffered a huge loss at the hands of the Red Raiders.

AD MITCHELL – TEXAS

Texas fans, AD Mitchell has arrived! The former Georgia Bulldog put up a huge game, hauling in ten catches for 141 yards and a touchdown.

KEDON SLOVIS – BYU

Slovis took down Cincinnati in a big win for the Cougars. The former USC and Pitt quarterback is certainly finding his stride so far with BYU, as he once again posted solid numbers. This week, Slovis threw for 223 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air.

CJ BASKERVILLE – TEXAS TECH

Baskerville earned the most defensive fantasy points out of any transfer in the conference this week, putting up a huge game on the defensive side of the ball. The former San Diego State Aztec had nine tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass deflected in the win over Houston.

AJ VONGPHACHANH – BYU

Vongphachanh is a former Utah State linebacker, and he proved to be a huge portal pickup this week with ten tackles, 0.5 TFL, and a QB hurry in the win over Cincinnati.
