Heading into week seven of the college football slate, let’s take a look at The Portal Report‘s transfer power rankings by team.

1. Texas State / 919.34 Total FPTS

Texas State finds themselves first in the Sun Belt-West thanks in large part to two star transfers. QB T.J. Finley started his career at LSU before heading to Auburn for two seasons with little success at both places. Finley has exploded with the Bobcats, throwing for 1,393 yards and 10 touchdowns to get the Cats off to a 4-1 start. RB Ismail Mahdi gashed Southern Miss for 89 and 3 TDs as well as a 100-yard kickoff return. The Holy Cross transfer has assisted Finley in leading the Bobcats to a hot start.

2. Colorado / 893.15 Total FPTS

Colorado under first-year head coach Deion Sanders has been the storyline of the season as the team started out 3-0. Since then, The Buffaloes have slowed down, losing to Oregon and USC. This past weekend, Arizona State was victim to CU in Tempe. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been Colorado’s best transfer in their class. Sanders is throwing for 2,020 yards and 16 touchdowns.

3. Arizona State / 527.83 Total FPTS

Arizona State comes in at No. 3 in the transfer power rankings thanks to running back Cameron Skattebo. Skattebo is recording 367 rushing yards, 245 receiving yards and six scrimmage touchdowns. The Sun Devils are just 1-5 this season but have seen production from Prince Dorbach (DL – Texas), Shamari Simmons (DB – Austin Peay) and Dashaun Mallory (DL – Michigan State).

4. Louisiana Tech / 501.74 Total FPTS

Heading into week seven, Louisiana Tech is in fourth place in Conference USA. The Bulldogs have top production from Stephen F. Austin duo Myles Heard (DB) and Brevin Randle (LB). Heard has 60 total tackles and 3.5 TFL’s. Randle has totaled 46 tackles, 8.0 TFL’s and 2.0 sacks.

5. UMass / 438.51 Total FPTS

WR Anthony Simpson has emerged as one of the biggest steals from the transfer portal this past offseason. Simpson has 566 receiving yards on 33 receptions with three touchdowns. UMass is struggling to secure wins right now sitting at 1-6 but Simpson has been a bright spot for the Minutemen.
