8.) Brian Moore – Norfolk State
The Murray State transfer is averaging a career-high 22.4 PPG through the Spartans first five contests as the 23rd best scorer in the country with Norfolk State managing a 4-1 record. After contributing 17 points in an upset over James Madison on Nov. 9, Moore’s 20 points and three assists were enough to secure a more recent road win over Hampton.
7.) Paul McMillan IV – Canisius
Despite Canisius’ early struggles as one of the nation’s only remaining programs without a win, the former NJIT and Central Michigan guard has proved a bright spot. Averaging 22.4 PPG as the Griffins leading scorer, McMillan recently managed a career-high 31 points in a loss to local-rival St. Bonaventure.
