Elite guard play has been showing out as conference play gets into full swing. TPR dives in to the top ten transfer guards averaging the most fantasy points per contest according to TPR’s fantasy point system.
10. Caleb Love, Arizona: 31.6 FPTS/G
When a clutch play needed to be made at UNC the last couple of seasons, Caleb Love was the guy. Following Love’s transfer to Arizona nothing has changed for the Final Four star. In fact, Love is having the best scoring season of his career, and at his most efficient rate. Not only has his scoring improved, but Love has found a way to make more of an impact passing and rebounding. Love has been known as a big game killer and in the two biggest games of this season Love has been at his best. During two heartbreaking losses to No.3 Purdue and No.14 FAU Love dropped 29 and 26 respectively.
9. PJ Haggerty, Tulsa: 31.8 FPTS/G
Redshirt freshman guard PJ Haggerty received essentially no playing time at TCU last season. With just six games played and zero starts he was able to maintain his redshirt eligibility. Now, in his first season as a starter, Haggerty has been nearly unstoppable for the Golden Wave. Haggerty has started every game for Tulsa using his incredible athleticism and quickness to average over 17 per night on an impressive 46.8 FG%.
