Ben Bell DE, Texas State to TBD

A game-changing pass rusher is tough to find in the portal. For the team that lands former Texas State defensive end Ben Bell, they may be in luck. Bell started his career at Louisiana Tech, compiling 3.5 sacks in two seasons. After transferring to Texas State, Bell became a force, particularly in 2023. That season, Bell finished tied for ninth in the country with ten sacks. In addition, Bell totaled 57 tackles, an incredibly high number for a defensive end. His ability to rush the passer and defend the run make him highly coveted by top programs around the nation.

Michael Van Buren QB, Mississippi State to TBD

Michael Van Buren ranked as a top ten quarterback in the class coming out of high school. After committing to Oregon his junior year, Van Buren decided to flip to Mississippi State. After taking over as the full-time starter in week five, Van Buren threw for 1,886 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season. In a brutal stretch that included six ranked, conference opponents, Van Buren showed poise, a tall task for a young quarterback being thrown to the wolves. In fact, Van Buren threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns in a tightly contested road game against Georgia.
