3. Louisville Cardinals

A magical regular season for Louisville ended in heartbreak at the ACC Championship game as they fell to Florida State 16-6. However, with the moves that head man Jeff Brohm made in the transfer portal this weekend, expect the Cards to not miss a beat in 2024.

To start, Brohm added two stud receivers. After Georgia State Jamari Thrash’s outstanding season for Louisville in 2023, Brohm knew to head back to the portal for receiver talent and he struck gold. First, with Caullin Lacy, the 5-10 South Alabama wideout. Lacy plays way bigger than his size, exploding for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns last season on a whopping 91 receptions.

Lacy has been the definition of consistency in his career, and Brohm adding ultra-talented Ja’Corey Brooks to the mix should allow Louisville’s offense to be even more explosive. Brooks, a former four-star Alabama commit, struggled to find his footing in a loaded Tide receiving room. However, the Miami native has all the tools necessary to be a star.

Finally, Brohm added yet another weapon in Miami transfer RB Donald Chaney Jr. Chaney Jr. has great experience, starting his career in 2020, however is still listed as a sophomore. Look for him to be a vital piece of Louisville’s attack in 2024.
